Jason, Jacob and I went to Magnolia for Blake’s (Joanna’s youngest) first birthday party on Friday. On the way, we stopped at my favorite place in Centerville, Woody’s, ate lunch and bought some beef jerky. If you are ever going from Dallas to Houston, it’s the perfect place to stop!
We played all afternoon and helped wash the dogs. Of course Jacob didn't want to take a nap, he didn't want to miss all the fun! I put him to bed around 6:30 like we do at home, but that didn't last. I couldn't get Jacob to sleep for more than an hour at time. When he cried, I kept going to pick him up because I didn't want him to wake up the other kids in the house. I guess being in a strange place in a Pack N Play just didn't work for him this time. I ended up putting blankets on the floor beside our bed and he slept there with me. Neither one of us slept very much. He moves a lot when he sleeps and I'm such a light sleeper.
Saturday was much better. He took 2 naps before the party began. The cowboy themed party was fun! There were about 6 different kiddie pools, a slip n slide, a bounce house, a soccer area, and a tether ball area and there was still room in the backyard! Jacob hung out by the water hose as you can see below. He was in his own little world. Blake had fun playing in the water, eating cake and opening presents.
We drove back home after the party and got back around 11:30PM. It was worth it for Jacob to be able to sleep in his own bed. Thanks Prazaks for letting us stay with y'all!
